Courage comes from taking a risk and risk often comes with uncertainty. But with the support of an experienced therapist and a formulation-driven approach, therapy can offer a new, more effective way to cope with that uncertainty and move forward with greater confidence.
Sometimes years, even decades can pass without meaningful change, only for the past to resurface and affect us in ways we didn’t expect. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) offers a structured, evidence-based process to help you understand the links between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
In our work together, change is a shared effort — a 50/50 partnership. You bring your experiences and willingness to explore; I bring my training, guidance, and support. Together, we’ll create space for reflection, learning, and meaningful progress.
In therapy, we’ll begin by identifying the patterns, problems, or painful experiences that are affecting your life now. Together, we’ll build a shared understanding, a formulation, that helps make sense of how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours connect.
This process is not always easy. In fact, when therapy feels emotionally challenging, it often means we’re getting close to the parts of your experience that matter most , the parts that need healing. Strong emotional reactions can be valuable signals, pointing us toward the deeper thoughts, memories, and beliefs beneath the surface.
You won’t be facing this alone. You will be guided and supported through the process.
I believe that where we feel the most pain is often where the most important work can begin. It's natural to want to avoid difficult memories or past experiences, but these can continue to shape how we think, feel, and behave.
In therapy, we’ll work together to make sense of these experiences through a shared understanding, known as a formulation. This isn’t something I do alone , it is something we build together, using your insights and experiences. When we both understand the maintenance of the problem, we’re in a much stronger position to create meaningful, lasting change.
At Better Wellbeing, I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and change. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their inner selves and overcome personal challenges.
